Get the Most Out of Your Botox

You’ve made the step; you have the treatment, now let’s get the most benefit out of your investment. Let’s talk about optimizing your Botox results!

First and foremost, you need to start by taking care of you skin. Your first signs of aging are going to start here. Your prevention and reduction of lines and wrinkles, begins at home. How so, you ask? By ensuring you’re focusing on a daily skin care regime. I know, I know, you’ve heard it all before – but avoid long exposure in the sun! Seriously! That sun kissed glow is damaging your skin and creating those fine lines and wrinkles.

Use quality skin care products; it’s a must! We recommend SkinCeuticals for your everyday facial product for both morning and night. I’m not stating that you cannot enjoy beautiful sunny days and take in some Vitamin D; just be mindful of the sun’s rays (even in the winter!) and use SUN SCREEN! I’ll say it again, SUN SCREEN!

men injectionSkinCeuticals carries an everyday sunscreen which provides effective protection from photo-aging. My personal favorite is Physical Fusion UV Defense SPF 50. It even comes in a transparent finish so you don’t feel like you’ve coated your face in thick goo!
We’ve talked about your skin, now let’s talk about reducing your fine lines and wrinkles. Many people are not aware, but there are some DO’s & DON’Ts when it comes to Botox treatments. These simple suggestions are to help optimize your results and leave you feeling fresh, rested, yet not different:

  • On the day of your treatment ; 1 hour prior and 1 hour post-treatment, it is believed facelift monctonthat activating using the targeted muscles could optimize your results by giving your Botox more receptors to bind to and to work product into the treated area.
  • 48 hours prior to treatment avoid taking any blood thinner substances such as Advil, Aspirin, Vitamin E, Omega 3, etc. Eliminating these will help decrease your chance of bruising (which, in all honestly very minimal with Botox).
  • The next 4 hours following your treatment, relax, take it easy, have lunch with friends, go back to work — it’s all good! This is the one time every 4 months or so, that you can feel guilt free about not going to the gym — because remember, you’re optimizing your results! wink wink!
  •  Try to avoid, rubbing the area or wearing any tight head gear this could potentially cause migration of the product into an unwanted area.

Everyone ages differently, and as such everyone needs different treatment options. I want

to work with you to determine the most effective treatment options for your needs and

leave you feeling refreshed, more youthful and vibrant!
